Planning is essential to protect our
natural resources. Midway Water System
conducts an ongoing long range study for
water usage, projecting water demands and
growth over the next 25 to 30 years. We work
in tandem with residents and industry to
provide an abundant, clean and safe water
supply and to meet usage demands well into
the 21st century. Long-term planning has
been the benchmark of our success. Our plans
are put into practice, and evaluated yearly
to ensure that our customers will have the
most efficient water supply available.
From the digging of our first well, our
number one goal has been to ensure the best
supply of water, for all reasonable and
beneficial purposes, by careful planning,
resource protection and the promotion of
conservation.
Clear planning strengthens our capacity
to ensure uninterrupted service in the event
of an emergency. Long-term planning also
addresses the replacement of aging assets,
crucial to the system’s operation allowing
us to address issues before problems arise.
